of Rotary Club of Cavite Export Processing Zone

July 25, 2008, The Village Commercial Center, Rosario, Cavite - 10 Rotary Club of Cavite Export Processing Zone members led by Legacy President Roland Paita with Senior Deputy Governor & TRF Major Gift Donor Maeng Mercado, Sharing President & Multiple Paul Harris Fellow (MPHF) Marni Sy with Star President and PHF Gabe Trias formalized the organization of the Group of Sustaining Members of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary Club of Cavite Export Processing Zone (GSM TRF RCCEPZ). The other members who have committed as charter members of the new group to contribute $100 per year are as follows: Leader President Amy Llave, Baby Rtns. Ding Arias and Tes Doneza, Rtn. Dante Quindoza, Rtn. Dick Maza and Rtn. Ony Ferrer.
First to be organized in District 3810, the group aims to promote Rotary International's Every Rotarian Every Year (EREY) program to become a Sustaining Member of The Paul Harris Foundation. SDG Maeng Mercado, a TRF Major Gift Donor himself and a charter member of the Paul Harris Society of District 3810 with PP Gabe Trias, a Paul Harris Fellow & TRF Sustaining Member for the past 3 years and the club's chairman for The Rotary Foundation for RY 2008-2009 conceptualized the new organization from within RC CEPZ members who have committed to contribute to the program..
Members of the newly organized Rosario Alternative Learning System Rotary Community Corps (RALS RCC) led by the RCC Representative & President of RALS RCC Norielyn Narciso briefed the RC CEPZ members on the objectives and functions of the newly formed RCC. RALS RCC was introduced to a new livelihood project with TESDA who was a recipient of a Matching Grant from RC CEPZ with several sewing machines used to sow rags which are sold later to the public.
A Feeding Program will also be implemented starting next week with RCC Rosario National High School Parents, Teachers & Community Association. The program will include learning and livelihood programs for the parents and families of the recipients of the feeding program.
New recruited members present include: Mr. Felix Barzaga, a retired businessman from USA and Butch Paredes, the owner of 6-Strings Restaurant & Music Bar, the venue of today's club meeting.
