Ronilo "Nilo" Nepomuceno
Dear fellow Rotarians,
Our meeting last week was graced by Mr. Glenn VanEnk who sponsored for two consecutive weeks our feeding program at Tejeros Convention Elementary School. He was supposed to be with his entire family, wife Sienne and daughters Amanda and Amber, but unfortunately the children were not feeling well. Glenn is a high school teacher in California which maybe the reason why he is fond of children. Amanda and Amber had also enjoyed the feeding by handing personally the bread to the malnourished students while their Mom Sienne was delightedly watching them. Again, our sincerest gratitude to the VanEnks who had already left for the United States last Thursday.
God Bless You! Also that same night, IPP Gabe awarded a Plaque of Appreciation to Arbogast Family, other relatives of him who were also sponsors in the feeding program last year. Glenn received the plaque in behalf of the Arbogast.
By the way, we did not have the feeding last Friday because there were no classes at Tejeros Convention Elementary School. Anyway, see you again this coming Friday. Hopefully, we shall be launching another project in our adopted school; this is the construction of Day Care Center/Library which is registered to Rotary International as our Centennial Community Project. The designated project in-charge is Engr. Cyril Salamanque and supported by PP Jess Cabel.
Please be reminded of our Handover and Awarding Ceremony on August 28, 2004. Your presence is highly requested because you might be one of the recipients of the many awards that IPP Gabe will be giving that night. This is in appreciation of your help and support during his once in a lifetime experience of being the president of a premier Rotary Club in Cavite. Please witness also the ceremonial handover of leadership of our club from IPP Gabe to the undersigned.
For the first time in the history of Cavite Rotary, on August 30, 2004, the Joint Induction of all the Rotary Clubs in Cavite will be held at the Tagaytay International Convention Center. This is another momentous event in celebration of the 100 years of Rotary and in recognition of District Governor Joel Tinitigan as the first Caviteno Governor of District 3810. RC CEPZ and RC Tanza are in-charge of the registration, thanks a lot to AG Maeng and IPP Gabe who are doing the job for us.
So I am enjoining everybody to please join me in the aforementioned occasions and let us Celebrate Rotary!
