Dear fellow Rotarians,
After 4 hours of travel, I finally reached Lagos del Sol Resort in Cavinti, Laguna; the venue of this year’s Mid Year Review. Actually the travel time could have been shorter if you already know the place. It was going uphill and then downhill going to Lake Caliraya. It is a nice place although the facilities of the resort are not first-class. Despite waking up early, I was very relaxed in my travel because I know I had a well prepared written and oral reports courtesy of IPP Gabe Trias. Thanks again IPP Gabe. We were grouped in batches of 10 and I was included in the 4th batch as 7th reporter; but we were the 1st batch to report on the second day of the review. Although we did not get the Best Oral Presentation Award, modesty aside, I believe we did well in both written and oral report. In fact, one of the panelists commented that RC CEPZ had a very good written and oral report. Again, I would like to thank and congratulate everybody because what contained in our report were the fruits of our unity in achieving a common goal, which is Service Above Self. Congratulations to Pres. Willy Rogando of the Rotary Club of Panday Pira who won the Best Oral Presentation and Pres. Joe Garcia of the Rotary Club of Pasay Central for winning the Best Written Report.
Our favorite project, the Feeding Program was already in its 21st week last Friday. My sincerest gratitude to Mr. Ran Artsi who sponsored the feeding for three consecutive weeks. Thanks again to our regular guys, IPP Gabe and Sec. Marni who took charge of feeding the 215 beneficiaries.
