Centennial President
RY 2004-2005

President's Message
07/06/2004

Dear fellow Rotarians,

First of all, I would like to congratulate District Governor Joel G. Tinitigan for being elected as the leader of the premier district in the Philippine Rotary, District 3810 for RY 2004-2005. The post becomes more prestigious because this is the centennial year of the rotary movement all over the world and the first time that Cavite has ever produced a District Governor; we are proud of you Centennial Gov. Joel!

As early as RY 2002-2003, when we were still the Nominees, DG Joel had started preparing his Centennial Team by holding monthly meeting and fellowship until our Pre-PETS and PETS in January and March 2004 respectively. Of course, our club had its own preparation; RC CEPZ Planning Session was held in Double V Resort in Dasmariñas, Cavite on June 05, 2004. With me who prepared the club’s Plans and Programs for RY 2004-2005 were IPP Gabe Trias, PP Jess Cabel, PP Boyet Castro, PP Maeng Mercado, Sec. Marni Sy, Treas. Ony Ferrer, Dir. Amy Llave, Dir. Egay Montano and Dir. James Huang. The planning session was just on time for the June 15, 2004 Team Visit headed by DGMD Ave Torres of RC Tanza.

After a long preparation, finally our time has come. Last Saturday, July 3, 2004, the District Centennial Handover and Induction Ceremony was held at Westin Philippine Plaza wherein the Centennial Team led by DG Joel, his District Officers and Centennial Presidents and even new members of different clubs were inducted. I would like to thank those who Celebrate Rotary with me that night – IPP Gabe Trias, PP Maeng Mercado, Sec. Marni Sy, Treas. Ony Ferrer, PRO Romy Bontigao, Dir. Amy Llave, Dir. Dong Lee, Dir. Anne Bawalan, Rtn. Dick Maza and Ann, Rtn. Connie Gonzaga, new members Norma Valeroso and Spouse, Beda Ponce de Leon, Weng Bautista, Jackie Lontoc, Myla Sayoc, Rex Sison and the CEZ former and present Zone Administrators Rtn. Ray Nagrampa and Rtn. Dante Quindoza, respectively.

Let us all be together in celebrating the first centennial year of Rotary and start the new century of service to mankind.
