Ronilo "Nilo" Nepomuceno
Dear fellow Rotarians,
My congratulation to District Governor Joel Tinitigan for the very successful Centennial DISCON of District 3810 held in Manila Hotel last March 10-12, 2005. Indeed it was a fun filled event that was truly the way to CELEBRATE ROTARY in its Centennial Year. The occasion was graced by the RI President’s Representative Jiichiro “Frank” Nakajima of Japan who was a Past Rotary Foundation Trustee. Incidentally, RIPR Nakajima was a Past District Governor and also an incumbent District Governor; so he is a classmate of DG Joel. He witnessed all the activities in the entire three days of the DISCON. I would like to extend my gratitude to our Rotarians who joined me in the DISCON – AG Maeng Mercado, IPP Gabe Trias, PE Ray Nagrampa, PN Amy Llave, PP Alex Cayaba, PP Boyet Castro, Sec. Marni Sy, Treas. Ony Ferrer, Dir. Dong Lee, PRO Romy Bontigao, Rtn. Norma Valeroso and ZA & Rtn. Dante Quindoza.
Last week (March 7-13, 2005) was also the World Rotaract Week Celebration. In line with this, the Rotaract Club of CEPZ had sponsored our 26th week of Feeding Program at Tejeros Convention Elementary School last March 9, 2005 and also did some activities to qualify for the recognition of RI President. Congratulations to the officers and members of RAC CEPZ led by Pres. Grace Labrador. A brief history of the Rotaract is featured in this week’s EXPONENTS.
The DISCON was over, almost all our planned activities and projects were accomplished, but fellowship does not end at the end of a Rotary Year. Since RY 2004-2005 officially ends on June 30, 2005, let us devote the rest of our meetings to more fellowship and further enhance the camaraderie we had developed through the years.
So see you more in our meetings!
PRES. NILO NEPOMUCENO
