President's Message
10/26/2004

Dear fellow Rotarians,

First of all, I would like to congratulate the constituents of Rosario, Cavite, led by their Mayor, Hon. Renato A. Abutan for celebrating the 159th Foundation Day of the Municipality of Rosario last October 22, 2004. God bless and more prosperous years to come.

Since it was a non-working holiday in Rosario last Friday, we did not have our feeding program at Tejeros Convention Elementary School. But definitely this coming Friday, October 29, 2004, we will have the 15th week of our feeding program, so I am inviting everyone to be there and help us feed the more than 200 malnourished children. Also, we will take pictures of the on-going construction of our Centennial Community Project- the Day Care Center/Library. Thanks again to Rtn. Jun Ducat for his generosity in implementing this project with his own resources.

Tonight, we will be discussing some amendments in the mechanics/guidelines of the search for Ten Outstanding Workers of CEZ as suggested by the CEZIA-HRAG Director Jose Cabral IV. Hopefully we can finalize everything and launch the project before the end of this month, being the Vocational Service Month.

My congratulations and thanks to Pres. Grace Labrador of RAC CEPZ and Pres. Marice Tamio of the Interact Club of ILAMS for successfully implementing the Clean and Green project last October 16, 2004 in Rotary Park and Rotary Farm inside Cavite Economic Zone; with the guidance and supervision of some Rotarians led by Dir. Amy Llave. Also, I would like to commend Pres. Grace for their continuing Read A Book Project every Sunday at Brgy. Tejeros Convention with 23 students (out-of-school youth).

On the District activities; congratulations to RC Paco for successfully hosting the Oktoberfest last October 15, 2004 at Raha Sulayman Park along Roxas Blvd. in Manila. Some of our Rotaractors had attended that big fellowship district event. This coming November 13, 2004, 1:00-5:00pm, we will be co-hosting The Rotary Foundation Seminar at Casa Marinero in Intramuros, Manila. I am encouraging everybody to attend this seminar especially those who want to be enlightened on what The Rotary Foundation is all about.

There will be more projects and activities to come, either club or district level; so let us enjoy and CELEBRATE ROTARY!
