Dear fellow Rotarians,
The National Alay Lakad was held on September 5, 2004 at PICC Complex. This year campaign with the theme “Hakbang ng Bayan, Tulong sa Kabataan” is aimed to help the out-of-school youth and save them from illicit vices like illegal drugs. This noble project which is held annually for several years now has been joined by socio-civic organizations, non-government organizations, local government units, and other government agencies. The Rotary Clubs of 3810 are perennial participants of this walk-campaign. Lot of thanks to the delegates of RC CEPZ who were composed mostly of the Rotaractors from our two Rotaract Clubs led by Pres. Grace Labrador and Pres. Gregorio Anda, Jr. and to the Rotarians who tested their endurance, defying age and the arthritis, ZA and Rtn. Dante Quindoza, former ZA and PE Ray Nagrampa, IPP Gabe Trias, Dir. Dong Lee, Rtn. Norma and spouse Larry, Rtn. Jackie Lontoc, Rtn. Connie Gonzaga and Baby Rtn. Liza Lallana with sister Lanie. Thanks also to Sec. Marni although she was not around (hindi kasi makagising ng maaga); she prepared the sandwiches and drinks. Sorry I could not join you in the parade, so after you passed me by, what I did was an Alay Tulog.
We had the 9th week of our feeding program last Friday at Tejeros Convention Elem. School. Special thanks to Tsukuba Phil. Diecasting Corp. who sponsored the lomi and Rtn. Delfin Abarro for the bread. And to the Rotarians who come regularly to this activity, thank you very much for the support. Also that day, we had the first delivery of materials for the construction of Day Care Center/Library at the above mentioned school. My sincerest gratitude to Ms. Anita Uy of SL Development Corp. as one of our benefactors to this centennial community project of our club.
