/2004

Dear fellow Rotarians,

The 1st Rotaract Solid Cavite Clubs Joint Induction and Handover Ceremonies were held last Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Villaluz Resort in Silang, Cavite. The inductees were the 1st Executive Board of Rotaract Solid Cavite Clubs and the 10 Rotaract Clubs Centennial Presidents with their set of officers and new members. Congratulations to all of you most especially to Pres. Grace of RAC CEPZ and Pres. Anda of RAC CEPZ West. I would like to extend my special recognition to IPP Gabe Trias for being the Chairman of this momentous event which is another first in the history of Cavite Rotary. Thanks to the officers and members of RC CEPZ who joined and supported IPP Gabe and our Rotaractors in the said event.

IPP Gabe Trias is known for his 100% support to the young generation of Rotary- the Rotaractors and Interactors. It was under his helm that RC CEPZ was able to organize a new Interact and Rotaract Clubs. So because of his special attention to the Rotary’s New Generation, he was appointed by DG Joel Tinitigan as the Adviser of the Rotaract Solid Cavite Clubs. Congratulations IPP Gabe, you are indeed a pride of RC CEPZ.

Last Friday, September 24, 2004 was the 11th week of our Feeding Program at our adopted school, the Tejeros Convention Elementary School. Thanks again to AG Maeng Mercado for being our sole sponsor for two consecutive weeks. I would like to apologize for my absence in the feeding, ZA Dante Quindoza and I had a consultation meeting with our locators regarding the forthcoming CEZ Trade Fair. We will surely make up this coming Friday. Again, my sincerest thanks to those Rotarians who are regularly attending this weekly activity led by Community Service Director Amy Llave.

The month of September is declared by the Rotary International as the New Generation Month, so before we end this month, I would like to especially recognize our Interact Club and Rotaract Clubs for their active participation in the district affairs and truly stand as our partners in service. Also, aside from AG Maeng, Happy Birthday to the rest of September celebrants- Rtn. Ken Wada (Sept. 2), Rtn. Norma Valeroso (Sept. 11), and Dir. Egay Montano (Sept. 14).
