Raymundo "Ray" T. Nagrampa
Dear fellow Rotarians,
This is my maiden message as your Club President for RY 2005-2006. I hope that by the time you read this, you are all in the best ROTARIAN mood and spirit: daring and raring to stand up and be counted in the name of service. In fact, SERVICE ABOVE SELF, our motto and theme for this Rotary Year.
I feel comfortable now leading our Club to accomplish our Plans and Programs crafted during our Planning Session in ROYALE TAGAYTAY, Tagaytay City on June 4, 2005 after IPP NILO NEPOMUCENO asked me to undergo a “Presidential Apprenticeship” that started with the CEZ SILVER ANNIVERSARY GOLF FELLOWSHIP on May 13, 2005 at the AOKI COURSE of the EAGLE RIDGE GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB, Gen. Trias, Cavite, followed by the PISTAHAN SA CEZ on May 27, 2005 where we had the usual May Flower Festival and selection of the REYNA NG PISTAHAN and finally the Signing Ceremonies of the Sister Club Agreement with the ROTARY CLUB OF W. ICHEON at West Icheon, South Korea on June 25, 2005.
Our travel to Korea was both fun and educational. But more importantly, it was an opportunity for more bonding among the members of Team 101 of our Club! If only all the Officers made it to the trip, it could have been more fun and fruitful.
The EVERLAND Tour and a look at the MOK-A MUSEUM and KING SEJONG’S TOMB gave us a glimpse of a Korea that we know only in history books.
JULY has been designated by R.I. as LITERACY MONTH. In view thereof, we will continue to coordinate with locator companies inside the Zone for the donation of used but serviceable computers to be fanned out to the various elementary schools around the Zone. Already, Channel Line has expressed willingness to participate in the program.
I would like to end this maiden message with an earnest and urgent appeal to our members: Please attend our regular meetings every Tuesday and give me that opportunity to explain to you my goals and mission as your new President.
MARAMING SALAMANT PO!!
PRES. RAYMUNDO “Ray” NAGRAMPA
