President's Message
07/26/2005

Dear fellow Rotarians,

The common denominator why our Club has been doing well even in new and uncharted areas of activities is the willingness of everybody present to put our heads together, do our share and contribute to the success of the given undertaking. Kahit na magbuhat ng silya at lamesa!

Take the case of the recently concluded DISTRICT ROTARACT ASSEMBLY hosting. Despite the odds*, Assembly Chairman Gabe Trias guided the Assembly to its successful conclusion. No less than the District Governor, Ed E. Tumangan, heaped praises to Gabe and our Club for a job well done. The same impression was shared by the other District Officers who came and graced the affair.

It was indeed a fruitful assembly with the ROTARACT officers receiving pointers from the Rotarian elders on how to manage their own club activities. Particularly interesting was the teambuilding exercises conducted by Rotarian Johnjay de Castro of the Rotary Club of Manila Bay, our co-host club. I guess anything about teambuilding or trust in one another was best exemplified by that exercise where their Rotaract President, lying on his back, was carried jointly but precariously by the members, in mid-air, from one point to another! Moral Lesson of the exercise: When the members support their President who in turn trusts his members, nothing can not be accomplished.

From my end, thank you and congratulations, Gabe and to the rest of our members who in one way or another, contributed to the success of the Assembly. PE and Vice-Pres. Amy Reyes-Llave, Club Secretary Marni Sy, Club Service A Dir. Liza Lallana, Youth Service Dir. Norma Valeroso, PRO Dong Lee, Rotarian Connie Gonzaga, Club Service B Dir. Jackie Lontoc, PP Jess Cabel, PP Boyet Castro, Rotarian Delfin Abarro, Rotarian Joel Lopez, PP and SDG Mael Mercado and Rotarian and Zone Administrator Dante Quindoza.

Kayang-kaya pala natin!! Baka gusto nila, ibang hosting naman!

The FEEDING PROGRAM is heating up! All Grades I to III pupils came, including those from the morning session. Reason why the LOMI prepared for the last feeding was inadequate. But we will anticipate this in the next schedule this Friday.

Please see Marni Sy for updates in your membership status.

Thank you.
