The Rotary Foundation Approves RC CEPZ's Bahay San Rafael Support Program (MG# 64914)

November 29, 2007, The Rotary Foundation - Rotary Club of Cavite Export Processing Zone officially received an announcement from The Rotary Foundation approving the TRF Matching Grant Application for the support of Bahay San Rafael for one year.

At present, the home is depended solely on volunteer works and donations from the community for their daily operation. A newly formed Rotary Community Corps - Volunteer Care for Special Children will enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with RC CEPZ for the proper supervision and implementation of all items purchased in this grant.To give more hope to these wonderful creations, we are inviting everyone to touch their lives with your generous contributions.  The Brothers in charged of this house need diapers, alcohol, cotton, oatmeal for the children’s consumptions daily. 

With the approval of the Matching Grant applied, RC CEPZ intends to uplift the living condition and assist in delivering the basic needs, health and well being of 10 children ages between 10 to 14 for a period of one year.

Through Rotary's public image program, RC CEPZ intends to create greater awareness on the plight of these children within the community. This project will also be posted in Rotary International World Community Service program for possible cooperation with clubs here and abroad.

November 19, 2007, The Rotary Foundation - Rotary Club of Cavite Export Processing Zone Sharing President resubmits the Matching Grant Application with corrections as suggested by TRF. Attached with the application are: Letter of Endorsement, TRF Matching Grant Application, Memorandum of Agreement for RCC VCSC and the new quotation of the needs of Bahay San Rafael.

November 15, 2007, The Rotary Foundation - Rotary Club of Cavite Export Processing Zone receives an email from The Rotary Foundation stating the reasons why the application cannot be forwarded for approval.

November 14, 2007, The Rotary Foundation - Rotary Club of Cavite Export Processing Zone receives an initial review giving more instructions on submitting more information required to complete the grant request.

November 5, 2007, The Rotary Foundation - Rotary Club of Cavite Export Processing Zone officially submitted a TRF Matching Grant Application for the support of Bahay San Rafael for one year. After a little more than three months of research and review by Sharing President Marni Sy, PP Gabe Trias submitted officially the application with supporting documents via email to The Rotary Foundation.

Submitted with the application is a Letter of Endorsement from Sharing President Marni Sy attesting that the Rotary Community Corps of Volunteer Care for Special Children is a bonafied group of volunteer social workers serving the community for years. Other documents submitted are: TRF Matching Grant Application, Memorandum of Agreement for RCC VCSC and the quotation of the needs of Bahay San Rafael.
