RC CEPZ DONATES TO TYPHOON REMING VICTIMS
December 8, 2006, Cavite Economic Zone - The Rotary Club of Cavite Export Processing Zone turned over 80 boxes of relief goods to Cavite Economic Zone Officer-In-Charge Cecille Veleņa for distribution to the latest calamity victims of typhoon Reming that hit Bicol Region last December 2006. The goods were procured from the funds donated by Fortune Cross Philippines, Inc. (P35,000), Rtn. William McCaw (P20,000), and Most International Philippines, Inc. (P10,000). Originally planned for the mudslide victims of Leyte, the club decided to give the donations for the Bicol typhoon victims due to the distant location of the former.
Two weeks later, an acknowledgement and thank you letter was received from Sr. Ma. Rosario C. Paderog of The Foundation of Our Lady of Fatima Center for Human Development, Inc. for the goods that were delivered to 130 families in Camarines Sur whose houses were completely destroyed by the super typhoon.
