Feeding Program Recipients Receive Free Medical Check Up
August 13, 2007, Gen. Trias, Cavite - Rotary Club of Cavite Export Processing Zone sent the first 7 of the Soup Kitchen Feeding Program recipients to Divine Grace Medical Center at Bacao Diversion Road in Gen. Trias, Cavite for a medical check up by Dra. Nella Mercado, a pediatrician and Ann of PP Maeng Mercado. Dra. Nella advised to feed the children at least 3 times a week and include rice with the soup. As part of the feeding program, the recipients are checked by a qualified physician to monitor the progress of each participant. Sponsored by RC Tahara Pacific of District 2760-Japan, the program will run for about three months.
Sharing President Marni Sy insisted that the medical check up be part of the program to monitor the progress of selected participant. The first seven participants who underwent the free medical check up include:
