PISO for PEACE Date : June 1, 2000 Inspired by the Philippine STARs Filipino Soldiers for Peace Fund and introduced by Rotarian Chino Rivas (Auditor RY 2000-2001). The project calls for just 1 peso contribution from the 70,000 workers of Cavite Economic Zone which will be donated to the cause. A motorcade was held inside the Zone on June 1, 2000 to inaugurate the campaign. Purpose : To support Filipino soldiers fighting for peace in Mindanao. Beneficiaries : Filipino soldiers in Mindanao (Philippine STAR's Filipino Soldiers for Peace Fund) Budget : N/A |
